Recommended Databases

Business Source Premier Covers most business and management topics--accounting, banking, economics, finance, international trade, operations, marketing, information technology, management, and public administration.

Full-text of 2100 sources and abstracts of articles from many more scholarly and professional publications, academic journals, and trade magazines are included. Analytical company reports published by MarketLink, as well as industry, and country reports are also included.

Factiva   Dow Jones’s Factiva provides access to global business information and includes content from top national newspapers including the full Wall Street Journal,  the New York Timesthe Washington Post, Dow Jones & Reuters newswires, business journals, market research reports, analyst reports, podcasts, and websites. Covers companies, industries, financial markets, economics and more. Useful for accessing current news that addresses management issues.  See the Factiva Research Guide for help.

The New York Times  Full access to the New York Times 1851-present, via the NJIT library.  One time registration required with NJIT email address.   See the New York Times Research Guide on how to register.

Nexis-Uni (formerly Lexis-Nexis Academic). Contains full text of newspapers, trade publications, legal materials, company dossiers and industry information.

Academic Search Premier  An all purpose database including articles on all topics with a diverse set of sources.  (Quickstart Guide to Ebsco's Academic Search Premier - similar to Ebsco's Business Source  databases) 

Market Research Reports by Richard K. Miller  Each handbook includes market assessments and forecasts, sector trends, profiles of market leaders, and statistics. In addition to in-depth analyses, the handbooks include links to hundreds of websites for additional information. 

BCC Research.  A database of technology market research reports, reviews, and technology newsletters. Reports cover categories including advanced materials, chemicals, engineering, environment, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing and nanotechnology. Anyone can search the database but needs to see a reference librarian to download the selected reports.

Rutgers Resource Guides

NJIT students can borrow books at Dana Library and use electronic resources by obtaining a temporary guest login at Dana or another Rutgers library.
