• Select the Topic drop-down menu and select the field most appropriate for your search terms (e.g. Topic if searching keywords)
  • The Topic field searches the title, abstract, author keywords, and Keywords Plus.
• Enter your search terms into the search box.
• You can add rows and choose a Boolean operator (AND, OR, NOT), or type a search string into the box.
• Here is an example search on climate change:

• "climate change*" AND ("environmental impact*" OR "ecological impact*")

• You can narrow your results by adding information to the search, such as additional keywords or author names.
• You can also refine the results by selecting information from the side panel such as publication years or document types.

• Select the search bar to edit the search.
• Choose Advanced Search to combine searches from your search history.
  • Select which sets you want to combine by checking the boxes.
  • Then select Combine Sets and choose your operator. This results in a new combined set that you can Add to query.
