Omeka: Creating Exhibits

To create an exhibit, click the button in the left button bar labeled Exhibits.

Click the button labeled Add an Exhibit.

Fill out the Exhibit Metadata with the following information.

• Title is the name of your Exhibit
• Slug is the portion of the URL that will show after http://dana.njit.edu.  For instance, if you enter “my-exhibit” as the Slug, the URL to your Exhibit will be http://dana.njit.edu/my-exhibit.  Slugs should consist solely of lowercase letters, numerals, and dashes.  Spaces and special characters are not allowed.
• Credits is the organization or people who are curating the Exhibit
• Description is the description of the Exhibit.  The Description will be displayed on the home page of your Exhibit.
• Tags allow you to provide tags for your Exhibit.
• Theme is the overall style template of the exhibit (ours is customized for DANA).

When you have added your metadata, click the button labeled Save Changes.

Your Exhibit has now been created and you can start to add Pages.
