Omeka: Adding Exhibit Blocks

To create a Block, click on one of the layouts presented in the New Block box.  (These are the block options currently enabled in our collection).

• File with Text allows you to insert a Block that contains one image and text around that image. This is useful for showing single Items with optional descriptive text.
• Gallery allows you to insert a Block that contains many images and one blurb of descriptive text. This is useful for showing thumbnails of many Items with optional descriptive text.
• Text allows you to insert a Block with just text in it. This is useful when you want to insert some text into an Exhibit Page.
• Geolocation Map is a map display based on geolocation metadata assigned to items.
• Neatline allows you to insert a Neatline exhibit (must have already created this in Omeka)

Once you have clicked one of the layouts, click the button labeled Add new content block.
