LaTeX for CoAD: Equations

Fomulae

LaTeX is particularly useful for handling math and formulae.  LaTeX allows users to set formulae either inline (within the text ) or in display mode (on a separate line).

There are three different delimiters for Inline Mode:

\(  \),

$  $

 \begin{math}
 \end{math}.

This is an example of setting the equation $a+b=\gamma$ with inline mode.

LaTex Code Inline

Display mode:

\begin{equation}
a+b=\gamma
\end{equation}
