Open Educational Resources (OER)

Chemistry OER and Open Textbook Resources

ChemCollective is run by educators at Carnegie Mellon University, and it contains chemistry open labs, simulations, tutorials, and online courses (ChemCollective, 2017).

Chemistry LibreTexts - a multi-institutional collaborative venture to develop the next generation of open-access texts to improve postsecondary education at all levels of higher learning. The LibreTexts approach is highly collaborative where an Open Access textbook environment is under constant revision by students, faculty, and outside experts to supplant conventional paper-based books. The LibreTexts project is currently directed by UC Davis Professor and project Founder Delmar Larsen.

Supplemental OER Materials

Chemspider -  A free chemical structure database providing fast text and structure search access to over 26 million structures from hundreds of data sources.

NIST WebbookFor Finding Thermochemical and Spectral Information

ChemTube3D - contains interactive 3D animations and structures, with supporting information for some of the most important topics covered during an undergraduate chemistry degree.
