The Barbara Littman Digital Scholarship Lab (DSL), which is part of the Barbara & Leonard Littman Library, was established to elevate our services beyond 20th-century modalities. Created with the generous support of the Littman family as a pilot program, it serves as a laboratory for investigating, understanding, and applying digital methods to interdisciplinary and visually mediated research. It has become a prototyping lab that explores applications of new technology that have been later used in larger-scale projects or implemented in the curriculum. The Lab offers a wide range of technical equipment and software and accommodates both individual and collaborative research (Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality sets. Looking Glass device, several computers, a book, and a hand-held scanners) It also facilitates additional learning opportunities in the form of workshops as part of the “Skills Exchange” program.
