History of Architecture: Finding Information on Architects

Many resources, both in print and online, are available to find information on architects. Below are a few selected reference publications that can be used as a source of information on architects and architectural firms. In addition, you can search our online catalog to find more encyclopedias, architectural histories, surveys and bio-bibliographies. To find monographs, search the architect's or firm's name as subject or as a key word.

Articles are oftentimes the best source of information. The Avery Index in particular is an excellent resource for finding architecture related journal articles.
