• Are you using other people's material (e.g. images, diagrams, quotes, excerpts, etc.) in your thesis or dissertation?  This Workflow gets you started with copyright and other legal questions to answer. Remember, your dissertation will be published online in NJIT's digital repository. So, you must determine whether you need permission to do that from the people who originally created or hold rights to the material you're including. Later, the Workflow covers publishing-related questions as you prepare your dissertation for submission to the Graduate Division.
