IEEE has a statement on the use of ChatGPT: The Risks and Benefits of ChatGPT (Jan. 19, 2023)
The IEEE Reference Guide does not currently include any guidelines for ChatGPT. However, some universities recommend citing it as software or it can be cited following the Chicago Manual of Style guidelines.
