Vernacular Architecture: Organizations

The Vernacular Architecture Forum

An organization dedicated to the study of "ordinary buildings". It is multi-disciplinary, and focused in North America.

Their journal has appeared in two formats, the first was Perspectives in Vernacular Architecture, which ran from 1982 through 2007. The current journal is Buildings and Landscapes, and has run since 2007.

International Association for the Study of Traditional Environments

An organization dedicated to the study of traditional dwellings from an interdisciplinary perspective.
