Philosophy for Architects: Welcome

Welcome

The present guide has been created by John Bednarz who in addition to library degree holds  PhD in philosohy. It has been designed with the intent  to help students and faculty research the interrelations between philosophy and architecture as they have developed throughout history at the highest theoretical level .  As such, it provides access to the wide range of informational resources that are available in different media in the NJIT libraries.  By clicking the Books tab, researchers can find books on individual philosophers, schools of philosophy, and philosophical problems relating to architecture.  By clicking the JOURNALS AND DATABASES tab the researcher can access the extremely large repertoire of journals and databases that provide access to articles on philosophically related issues, including architecture and its history.  Finally, by clicking the WEB RESOURCES tab. the researcher can access videos in which philosophers and architects discuss the relationships between the two disciplines, as well as websites that present blogs and discussions, and further resources in the same subject areas.

The Littman Library invites inquiries, comments and suggestions.  Please contact the library by phone or email if you have any questions.
